Welcome to ERIN - Emerging risks in Norway.

ERIN is a tool to describe, rate and keep track of new threats against Norwegian plant health. The threats include pest organisms that may come to Norway, or pests that are already present in Norway and may expand distribution or increase their threat due to changing conditions (e.g. climate change, increasing resistance etc.). ERIN is developed by the VKM Panel on Plant Health and is a tool to get an overview of new threats making it easier to prioritize which pests to be considered. The question form of ERIN is based on the EPPO’s PRA PM5/3(5)*, but the assessment is simplified into only few questions. The judgments are preliminary and should not be considered as part of a final risk assessment.
